COMPETITION BBQ IS BACK IN LARAMIE

July 26, 2025, at the Albany County Fairgrounds under the grandstands at 3510 South 3rd in Laramie.

Be sure to attend the People's Choice commencing at 3 p.m. and get served by the University of Wyoming Volleyball Team!


BBQ competitors from local areas and across the country will descend upon Laramie, Wyoming, for competition barbeque at this year's 2nd Annual Albany County Fair Smokin' BBQ event! 


This contest will consist of two team events. KCBS professional teams will display KCBS-style BBQ in four meat categories. Chicken, Ribs, Pork, and Brisket will be presented to KCBS-certified BBQ judges for the title of Grand Champion. 


The Backyard teams will compete in a Rib category and an Anything Goes category for their title of Grand Champion Backyard. The Public is INVITED and ENCOURAGED to come out to this great Wyoming barbeque and help select the People's Choice Award for bragging rights.

Registration & Payment

Help us support the Albany County Fair Alumni Association - a 501(c)(3) Organization

A portion of the net proceeds from our competition barbeque will be used for scholarships and future ground improvements in Laramie, Wyoming. 


The first $1,000 will help fund two scholarships to local high school seniors attending college or a trade school.
